In December… Prime Minister Kevin Rudd said any delay in the start of the emissions trading scheme would be reckless and irresponsible both for the economy and the environment….
Well, today the Rudd government made an abrupt turn around on that position when they announced that they WOULD be delaying the Emissions Trading Scheme… AND that there would be changes.
They said that the financial crisis and the next round of climate emission negotiations in Copenhagan forced their hand.
